A WHITE CASTLE WEDDING 2012
OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
CONTEST DESCRIPTION:
The ”A White Castle Wedding” contest (“Contest”) will begin at 12:01AM on Monday, January 30, 2012, and end at 11:59PM on Thursday, February 16, 2012 (“Contest Period”). This Contest will be conducted via internet. One (1) grand prize winner will be awarded “A White Castle Wedding” ceremony for themselves and up to twenty-five (25) guests to be held at a participating White Castle Restaurant in Columbus, Ohio on Friday, February 24, 2012. The wedding package will include a bridal bouquet, wedding cake, and transportation for up to four (4) to and from the wedding site from a designated location. In addition, the grand prize winner will receive two (2) 14kt gold wedding bands, and two (2) round trip airfare tickets from Columbus, OH to Chicago, IL.
HOW TO ENTER:
Listeners of WCKX-FM (“Station”) who are legal residents of the U.S. residing within the Columbus, OH metropolitan area and are eighteen (18) years of age or older will be able to take part in this Contest. To participate in the Contest, participants must do the following:
1.Contestants must submit a statement of fifty (50) words or less explaining why they deserve to win ”A White Castle Wedding”.
2.Entries must be submitted online at www.mycolumbuspower.com during the Contest Period to qualify for a chance to win the Grand Prize. All entries must be received by 11:59PM on Thursday, February 16, 2012, or they will be void.
3.One (1) entry per person may be submitted during the Contest Period. In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of a participant’s online entry, the entry will be deemed to have been made by the authorized holder of the e-mail account at the time the entry was made.
4.On Friday February 17, 2012 The Grand Prize winner will be selected from among all valid entries received by a panel of judges consisting of WCKX-FM personnel.
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
1.Submission statements must be fifty (50) words or less in length (an “Entry”).
2.Entries may not be patently offensive, illegal, pornographic or obscene, or similarly inappropriate in Sponsors’ sole discretion.
3.Entries must not contain any profanity, obscene language, lewd or sexual content or references.
4.Submissions may not infringe upon any rights of any third party including without limitation, copyright, trademark and right of publicity or privacy.
5.Entries must be unpublished and not have been submitted in other competitions.
6.Submissions must not contain unnecessary or derogatory characterizations of any ethnic, racial, sexual or religious groups, humiliate other people (publicly or otherwise), or otherwise assault or threaten others.
7.By entering the Contest, the Entrant (and each member of such Entrant) consents to the use of all information in the Entry, including, without limitation, each member's name, likeness, city of residence and other information, for any and all publicity or promotional purposes as Sponsor may select in its discretion.
8.Unless Entrant has received express prior written permission (and retains and is willing and able to produce to Sponsor upon request a copy of such permission) for use in connection with the Contest, an Entry must not include any individual's name (other than that of Entrant), in whole or in part, refer to public figures, or contain materials embodying the names, likenesses, photographs or other identifying elements of any person, living or dead.
9.If the Entry contains any material or elements that are not owned by Entrant and/or are subject to any rights of any third parties, Entrant is responsible for obtaining any and all releases and consents in writing necessary to permit the use and exhibition of the Entry by Sponsor in the manner set forth in these Official Rules, including, without limitation, name and likeness releases for any person who appears in or is identifiable in the Entry, prior to submission of the Entry.
10.By submitting an entry in this Contest, each participant represents and warrants to be bound by the Official Contest rules, that they are authorized to and have the rights to submit the content in the entry, and that all of the above-listed requirements have been met.
ELIGIBILITY RESTRICTIONS:
1.The Contest is open to two-person couples, each member of which is a legal resident of the United States, residing within the terrestrial listening area of WCKX-FM in the Columbus, Ohio radio market, and who is eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of Contest registration.
2.Entrants must be ready, willing and able to be lawfully married on February 24, 2012, in a wedding arranged by Sponsor as set forth below and potentially broadcast on the air or Internet and otherwise publicized. Contestants must possess a valid marriage certificate by February 24, 2012.
3.Employees of Station, Blue Chip Broadcasting, Ltd. its officers, directors, subsidiaries, affiliates, general sponsors, advertisers, competitors, promotional partners, their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, parent companies, members of the immediate families (defined as spouse, child, sibling, parent, or grandparent), and members of the households (whether related or not) of any of the above are NOT eligible to participate or win in this Contest.
4.Travel guest of grand prize winner must also be eighteen (18) years of age or older and a legal resident of the U.S. Winner and guest must possess required travel documents (e.g. valid government-issued photo I.D.) prior to departure and must travel on the same itinerary. Travel guest will be required to sign and submit all requested release forms along with the grand prize winner.
5.Persons who have won a prize in another contest or promotion of any kind from Station within the thirty-day (30) period immediately preceding the start date of this Contest are not eligible to participate. Only one person per family or household (whether related or not) may win in any promotion from Station during any thirty (30) day period.
6.Contestants agree to abide with any applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations.
PRIZES:
1.The Grand Prize package will include:
a.A White Castle Wedding, which shall include the following:
i.A white table cloth wedding at a participating White Castle restaurant in Columbus, Ohio (“Wedding Site”) with space to accommodate twenty-five (25) guests;
ii.Exclusive transportation for eight (8) to and from the Wedding Site;
iii.One (1) cake for twenty five (25) guests;
iv.Two (2) 14kt gold wedding bands;
v.One (1) Bridal bouquet;
vi.A clergyman;
vii.Two (2) round trip airfare tickets to Chicago, IL (use of airline tickets is subject to blackout dates and other airline restrictions). Winner will be responsible for making their own hotel arrangements in Chicago.
To the extent that prize elements are provided by third-party providers, winner agrees to look solely to applicable prize providers with respect to any claims, losses, or disputes in connection therewith.
2.The grand prize winner and/or guest shall be responsible for all ground transportation, taxes, meals, beverages, gratuities, souvenirs and incidentals for the duration of the Honeymoon Chicago Package.
3.If a winner is unable to accept the prize, the prize will be forfeited in its entirety.
4.No substitution of prize is offered, no transfer of prize to a third party is permitted and non-cash prizes may not be redeemed for cash value, except as determined by Station management and/or the sponsor in its sole discretion.
5.The Grand Prize winner must sign and date official Station release and waiver forms as requested. Failure to do so will result in the winner’s forfeiture of the prize.
6.Prizes will be awarded only upon winner verification and final approval by Station. Each winner or selected entrant will be notified by email, and/or phone within twenty-four (24) hours after being selected (e.g., date of drawing). Each winner or selected entrant will then have one (1) day to respond with their information. If the winner or selected entrant is unable to be contacted within one (1) day after being selected (e.g. drawing date), is ineligible, fails to claim a prize or fails to return completed and executed release forms and affidavits, if applicable and as required by Station, or if the prize notification or prize is returned undeliverable, that prize will be forfeited and if time permits, at the discretion of the contest sponsor / and or contest administrator, an alternate entrant will be selected as the winner by random drawing from among the remaining entries.
7.Winners will be instructed to come to the offices of the Station located at 350 E. First Ave. Columbus, OH 43201. Winners must provide valid identification (i.e. via driver’s license, passport or other government-issued photo I.D.) and valid marriage certificate to claim their prize.
EXECUTION:
1.During the Contest Period, eligible participants will be encouraged to take part in the Contest by submitting, via e-mail, a short statement that explains in fifty (50) words or less why they deserve to win a “White Castle Wedding.” After completing the registration process and submitting their statement, qualified entrants will be eligible for a chance to win the grand prize.
2.On Friday, February 17, 2012, the winning entry will be selected from among all eligible entries received online at www.mycolumbuspower.com at the sole discretion of the panel of judges.
3.The grand prize winner will be notified by phone.
4.The winner will be instructed to come to the offices of the station to fill out all requested release and waiver forms, and have their name announced publicly on the Station Friday, February 17, 2012 during the hours of 6AM – 10AM. The “White Castle Wedding” will take place on Friday, February 24, 2012 at a White Castle location TBD.
5.All decisions made by Station and Blue Chip Broadcasting Ltd. management or any Contest Sponsor regarding any aspect
